From July 26-July 30, 2021, we held Camp Impacta joyful, fun-filled weeklong summer camp experience for children ages 6-12 who were actively experiencing or had previously experienced homelessness or were from low income families. Through a combination of traditional indoor and outdoor camp activities, like swimming, games, and Arts & Crafts, our campers, the majority of whom had not previously attended an overnight camp, overcame fears, tried new things, made friends, and grew in confidence.

Thank you to all the volunteers, counselors, staff members, and donors who made this camp possible!

We are looking for Camp Impact 2022 counselors, Counselors-in-Training, and volunteers!

  • Counselors: *We are now only accepting applications from males ages 16 & up.* We are looking for passionate counselors who are looking to make a difference in their community. Counselors will be in charge of 12 children in a cabin with 3 other counselors. As a counselor during the week of Camp Impact, you are a volunteer and will not be paid. You are required to arrive at Camp Cole on July 17th at 10:00 AM (subject to change) and to stay until July 22nd at 3:00 PM (subject to change). All counselors must be 16 years or older and will be required to do a background check. If you are interested in being a Camp Impact counselor, please view the application here
  • Volunteers: Camp Impact wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. We are looking for Mealtime Assistants, Boating Assistants, Walking Buddies, and Fishing Assistants. If you are interested in joining our team of volunteers, apply here

Camp Impact 2021 campers participated in Horsemanship Experience with Carolina Therapeutic Riding, went swimming in our zero-entry pool, made masterpieces at Arts & Crafts, kayaked, canoed, and fished in Peter’s Pond, and played Outdoor Games.

In addition to their daytime camp activities, our campers enjoyed evening activities. These included a special dance performance from Dreher High School’s Dance Team, a concert with Sarah Adams, Blake Weinbach, and J.T. Bruce, an Olympic Games Night led by Rob Simmons at Results Fitness, a Glow Dance dj’d by Troy Fite, and a Cabin Night.

Camp Impact is a safe and happy place where ordinary experiences teach, prepare, and inspire campers to engage in opportunities that develop hope and confidence.
