Margaret Deans Fawcett Grantz is committed to ensuring her native Columbia and the greater South Carolina community are places where everyone can shine.
Inspired by the loss of her best childhood friend to cancer in the second grade, she worked as a counselor at a kids’ cancer camp for 14 years. The experience opened her eyes to the need for inclusive, accessible programs for children facing disease and disability.
After graduating from Wofford College and working in the non-profit industry, she joined forces with Kelsey Carter to realize their shared dream of Camp Cole.
Margaret Deans is married to Derrick Grantz and the mom of three highly spirited girls.
