Specialized Activities
Freedom to Swim, Fish, Explore & More!

Giving campers the freedom to shine means providing access to a variety of accessible activities that bring joy to their hearts while also teaching them something new.
We offer our specialized activities at most of our summer camps and make them available for other camps and programs we host, as well as for group rentals.
Waterfront Adventures
Mid-March – September
Jump in the water, paddle a kayak, steer a canoe, or learn to paddleboard! Our certified lifeguards and outdoor adventure specialists ensure every camper safely experiences the thrill of Peter’s Pond. Feel like relaxing? You can do that, too! Take a break on Jake’s Dock, build sandcastles on the beach, or read a book in the Fortson Family Gazebo.
Fishing
Mid-March – September
Grab a fishing pole and a life jacket and hone your skills at casting, catching and releasing from our fully accessible dock and well-stocked pond. It’s an experience that never gets old and provides a new thrill every time.
Cole’s Roots
Getting close to nature increases your appreciation of the habitats around you, even in your backyard! Campers groom, observe, and feed chickens and goats. They also collect eggs! They explore different ecosystems on our Nature Trail, choose seasonal items to cook from our garden, and learn to make earth-friendly arts and crafts like clay pinch pots.
Zero-Entry Pool
Mid–March – September
Hot summer days call for swimming, splashing, and water games in our Bubba Roof & Family Pool. An easy-access ramp makes getting in and out of the water a breeze, and our highly skilled lifeguards ensure refreshing, safe swimming fun!
Indoor & Outdoor Games
Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and strong communication skills are at the heart of our camp game activities. From relay races to freeze tag to scavenger hunts and dance-offs, we strive to teach campers life skills while allowing them to play, laugh, and make sweet memories.
Arts & Crafts
No camp is complete without arts and crafts. Our activities encourage campers to use their imaginations, explore their creativity, and try their hands at different media, such as painting, drawing, and sculpting. Arts and crafts improve social development and provide a sense of accomplishment.
Archery
Learn the art and science of archery, and embrace your inner Merida, Katniss, or Robin Hood. Our seasoned instructors guide campers through every step, including safety, form, discipline, and skill development. Archery improves hand-eye coordination, enhances balance and confidence, and relieves stress.
Team-Building Activities
Working together toward a common goal is a lesson everyone can benefit from. Our team-building activities encourage campers to improve critical skills like relationship-building, creative thinking, communication, and leadership development. They reinforce the importance of listening, trust, and being part of something bigger than themselves.
