Camp Use Information and Guidelines
Guidelines and participation in all campus rentals at Camp Cole are the same for all individuals without regard to religion, sex, disability, nationality, race, color, or age.

Use of Campus
- Camp Cole provides water, electricity, garbage disposal, good housekeeping, and maintains that all buildings and grounds are kept in excellent condition.
- Dispose of all litter and trash in the proper containers and help us save energy by turning off lights and keeping doors and windows closed when not in use.
- The front gate at Camp Cole is very important, keep our campus safe by utilizing your individualized gate code or using the call button during normal business hours
- Camp Cole is not responsible for nor does our insurance cover loss or damage to personal property.
- Once all personal items are removed and your stay as concluded, please return all chairs, tables, and other equipment to their original location.
- Camp Cole is a tobacco, E-cigarette, and vape free campus.
- Please be considerate of Camp Cole’s campus and buildings, damage beyond normal wear will be noted, and groups are expected to pay for any damage.
- Please be as accurate as possible regarding your group’s size, if a group’s size drops below the building minimum, the group will be charged for that minimum. Groups also agree not to exceed the campus’ maximum capacity.
- Camp Cole consistently takes photographs and shoots film, please be aware that during your stay, you and any of your guests may be photographed, filmed, or videoed while participating in activities or enjoying the campus. Please notify your guests of this policy in advance.
Housing
- Guests are responsible for providing their own linens and towels.
- The cabins have innovated recessed bunk beds, a common space with comfortable seating, and shared bathrooms and showers.
- There are a few additional sleeping quarters in the staff cabin and in the medical care facility.
- ALL housing accommodations are available for year-round use having AC and heating capabilities.
Activities
- We have many intentional activities that we can serve your group with, but please preplan these activities with us so that we may be prepared to assist your group.
- Self-Programmed Activities are activities led by your staff with Camp Cole equipment offered during specific time frames.
- They include basketball, talent show practice, gaga ball, pickleball, foursquare, soccer, and library time (includes board games and books).
- Programmed Activities are activities led by trained Camp Cole staff with our equipment and offered during the day.
- They include arts and crafts, archery, fishing, kayaking, paddle boards, swimming, yoga, Cole’s Roots (experiences with goats and chickens), andcabin games/ team building.
- Camp Cole reserves the right to cancel activities for participant safety and weather conditions.
- Aquatic Note: No one should enter aquatic areas without a qualified Camp Cole staff member present. ALL groups and participants must wear a life jacket at the waterfront for safety purposes, as well as take a swim evaluation.
Group Supervision
- Groups agree to supervise and to assume full responsibility for any persons, entities or things that use Camp Cole as a part of the group. A camper or campers are NEVER to be left alone unsupervised.
- The group is responsible for providing adequate adult leadership (we recommend a1:7 adult-to-youth ratio).
- For the safety of minors in your group, we require that all adults be screened with a criminal background check and name ran through the national sex offender registry.
- Training must be provided to all adults regarding the “rule of three,” minimizing the potential of an adult being one-on-one with a camper when out of the sight of others.
- Medical
- Camp Cole does not provide medical supervision, treatment, maintenance, or dispensing of medications for groups.
- We recommend having one medical personnel per 50 participants.
Food Service
Groups have a variety of meal packages they can choose from:
- Option 1
All Southern Way: Breakfast is paid for by Camp Cole. - Option 2
Hybrid: SouthernWay for 1 or 2 meals a day (breakfast paid for by Camp Cole) with Partner Camp supplying the other meals from outside DHEC to DHEC kitchens (ex. Lizards Thicket, Chick-fil-a, Food Truck etc.) - Option 3
All Outside Food: Additional cleaning fee required. Partner Camp is responsible for all paper goods, utensils, cups, and managing all clean-up/trash removal.
