Camp Impact is a safe and happy place where ordinary experiences teach, prepare, and inspire campers to engage in opportunities that develop hope and confidence.

Camp Impact is a Camp Cole-directed weeklong camp experience for children ages 6-14 who are experiencing or have previously experienced homelessness in sheltering programs, foster programs, or no to low income families. Through a combination of traditional indoor and outdoor camp activities, like swimming, games, and Arts & Crafts, Camp Impact campers, the majority of whom have not previously attended an overnight camp, get to overcome fears, try new things, make friends, and grow in confidence. In addition to daytime activities, Camp Impact campers enjoy nighttime activities, like glow dances, movie nights, campfires, Olympic Games nights, and more. Local churches and businesses generously provide and serve meals and snacks for Camp Impact. If you are interested in supplying food or items for Camp Impact, please email margaretdeans@campcole.org

NOTE: Applications are now closed for Camp Impact 2023.

If you have filled out your child’s application, you can expect a call soon letting you know if your child has been accepted or put on the waitlist. Camp Impact 2023 will take place from June 26th to June 30th. If your child has been accepted, you will receive a Parent/Guardian Handbook closer to camp, and your camper’s counselor will call your before camp starts.

We pride ourselves on selecting and training an incredible group of counselors for Camp Impact. These counselors are instrumental in mentoring our campers and enriching their stays here. Each cabin of 12 children will be led by 4 counselors. Counselors will arrive at Camp Cole on June 25th at 10:00 AM (subject to change) and stay until June 30th at 2:00 PM (subject to change). All counselors must be 16 years or older, and all Junior Counselors must be 14-15 years old. All NEW counselors will be subject to an interview. A background check will be required for all Counselors and Junior Counselors. Please note this is an unpaid position.

Camp Impact gives children the opportunity to step away from the worries of home and embrace a joyful environment in which they can focus on just being kids.
